- The Fredericton tourism industry injected an all time record of $208.6 million into the local economy in 2007. This figure is up 3.4% over the previous year.
- Fredericton's average hotel room rate increased to $85.67 in 2007 up from $83.29 in 2006.
- Fredericton's occupancy rate, as reported to Fredericton Tourism, increased from 56% in 2006 to 59 in 2007.
- Fredericton's three Visitor Information Centres served a total of 17,605 visitor parties in 2007 between May and October.
- Fredericton placed 2nd in the Province in terms of hotel occupancy. Fredericton's average occupancy was 61% in 2007, which was 6% above the Provincial average of 55%. Moncton's occupancy was 62% and Saint John was 61%.
- It is forecast that the total overnight visitors in Fredericton increased by 3.5% to 586,000 compared to 566,000 in 2006.
- 356 bus tours spent one or more nights in Fredericton during the period of May-October, 2007, accounting for 8,575 hotel rooms sold to bus tours.
- Motorcoach tours were booked by 113 companies, 53 of which stayed more than 1 tour night.
- Fredericton hosted 930 events - local, regional, national and international with 50,037 delegates and 57,998 room nights.
- The Tourism Division of the City of Fredericton provided delegate kits to 207 meetings / conventions / sporting events by providing literature and tourism information.
