  • Economic Development - Proactively work with our economic development partners to achieve business growth through business retention and recruitment of new businesses to greater Fredericton. 
  • Advocacy - Aggressively pursues concerns of members to municipal, provincial, and federal representatives in an effort to remove barriers to business and maintain a vibrant business climate.
  • Networking - With over  835 member businesses, the Chamber provides an extensive network of contacts.  Each year the Chamber hosts 40-50 events, which provides ample opportunity for members to broaden their contacts.  Featuring the "See A Member First" and the NEW "Member to Member" programs, members are encouraged to purchase the goods and services of other Chamber members.
  • Education - The Business Education Series  is held monthly featuring a luncheon educational session on topics focusing on  Sales & Customer Service, Human Resources, Information Technology and Small Business topics.  In addition, timely seminars, workshops, business luncheons, and business breakfasts keep Chamber members up-to-date on current issues and trends.

Downtown Fredericton Inc. is a Business Improvement Area (BIA) organization dedicated to sustaining and encouraging growth and development in the Central Business District of the City of Fredericton.

  • Promotion - Marketing the downtown to new and existing consumer markets as the preferred place to work, shop, live, visit, play and do business.
  • Physical Improvements - Enhancing the physical attractiveness and effectiveness of the downtown including streetscape improvements, signage, landscaping, vehicular and pedestrian traffic and other physical attributes.
  • Economic Development - Working in partnership with private developers, all levels of government and community agencies to develop strategies for business recruitment, retention and expansion in the downtown.
  • Advocacy and Dissemination of Information - Downtown Fredericton provides a unified "voice" for downtown business on issues and areas of concern affecting the Downtown core working to inform and generate awareness among government representatives, policy makers and staff.
  • Business Assistance and Consultation Services -providing up to date information resource support and educational opportunities to assist businesses to compete effectively and prosper in today's marketplace.
